The European Environmental Network (EEN) is organizing a seminar on "Environmental regulations in Central and Eastern Europe" to be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 16 December 1996.
The seminar will examine the various issues surrounding environmental regulation in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in view of their planned accession to the European Union. Speakers will include representatives from the European Commission (DG XI - Environment, nuclear safety and civil protection), the Union of Industrial and Employers Confederations of Europe (UNICE), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and a number of financial agencies and investors in Central and Eastern Europe.
