Towards a European electronic network of schools
The objective of the conference, which is being held within the framework of the recently-launched Action Plan, "Learning in the Information Society", is to assess the current situation regarding the principal school networks and to examine the possibilities for inter-linking them to stimulate multimedia educational exchanges at European level. The conference, which is taking place during the European Year of Lifelong Learning, aims to promote the use of flexible methods for continuing education.
Following presentations of the experiences of a number of existing networks, the conference will split into a number of working groups, covering the following topics:
- Technical and economic aspects of a schools network;
- Legal and ethical aspects of a schools network;
- Pedagogic content aspects of electronic cooperation between schools;
