Professional training in analytical chemistry
The general objectives of the project include the development, in the analytical chemistry sector, of transnational cooperation between enterprises, universities, scientific research institutes and professional organizations, with a view to:
- Promoting training in newly emerging technologies in order to improve and upgrade the skills and qualifications of the persons concerned;
- Facilitating and developing transfer of RTD results in analytical chemistry to continuous and basic education;
- Promoting the establishment of new professional and scientific collaborations.
The training courses being organized within the framework of this project in 1997 are as follows:
- Fundamentals and applications of total reflection XRF: Dortmund, Germany (17-19 March 1997);
- Atmospheric aerosols - Sources, physical and chemical characterization, environmental, climatic and toxicological effects: Heraclion-Crete, Greece (2-5 April 1997);
- Atmospheric pollution caused by anthropogenic and biogenic emissions: Ioannina, Greece (7-11 April 1997);
- Validation in the pharmaceutical industry: Dublin, Ireland (7-9 May 1997);
- Advanced analytical techniques for environmental designs: Cranfield, UK (16-20 June 1997);
- Solvent selection for pesticide residue extraction, partitioning and analysis from agricultural environmental samples: Angers, France (6-9 October 1997);
- Management, legal and technical aspects - Environment and chemical industry: Dublin, Ireland (25-26 September 1997);
- Quality assurance and control in biological, biochemical and agricultural laboratories: Reading, UK (28-29 October 1997); Halle, Germany (6-7 November 1997); Tulln, Austria (20-21 November 1997);
