ESPRIT Information Day - March 1997
The 1997 calls, planned to be launched on 15 March, 17 June and 16 September 1997, will be based on the new Work Programme, launched in November 1996 at the EITC'96 conference. This new Work Programme introduces four thematic calls which cross the traditional programme boundaries.
The Information Day is primarily aimed at those interested in the 15 March 1997 call, although the other 1997 calls will also be covered. The March call will cover selected tasks in the following domains of the Work Programme:
- Area 2: Technologies for components and sub-systems;
- Area 4: Long-term research;
- Area 5: Open microprocessor systems initiative;
- Area 6: High-performance computing and networking;
- Area 7: Technologies for business processes;
- Area 8: Integration in manufacturing.
In addition the call will cover two of the four new themes:
- IT for mobility;
- Electronic commerce.
Following a general introduction, the Information Day will consist of a number of parallel information sessions for each of the ESPRIT programme's domains and themes. Participants will be able to give a short presentation of their company or institution, with the aim of finding potential partners for participation in research projects. Potential participants may come from any of the countries participating in the Fourth Framework Programme (EU, EEA and Israel) as well as countries associated to the programme in Central and Eastern European countries and the Mediterranean.
