Directoria V - Convention for internal and external inter-regional cooperation

The fifth Directoria meeting will take place in Strasbourg, France, from 24 to 26 February 1997. This meeting, supported by the European Commission, DG XVI, will take the form of a European convention on internal and external inter-regional cooperation.

In particular, the event will focus on the RECITE II and OUVERTURE II actions under Article 10 of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Regulation. These concern, respectively, internal inter-regional cooperation (i.e. within the EU) and external inter-regional cooperation (i.e. between EU regions and other European and Mediterranean regions).

Directoria V offers an opportunity for participants to meet potential partners for RECITE and OUVERTURE projects, and to develop projects. A series of information workshops and seminars will assist participants in establishing projects, and there will be opportunities for meetings with Commission officials, who will offer guidance on the formulation of proposals.
