A conference on the "Commercialization of innovations and know-how" will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 23 to 25 April 1997. The conference, which is organized by the International Association of Science Parks (IASP), aims to offer participants in-depth information on the commercialization of innovations.

Participants in the conference will be offered examples of best practice and suggested solutions to problems likely to be encountered. A keynote speech will be given by Mr. Robin Miège, from DG XIII of the European Commission, who is responsible for innovation and technology transfer within the Community's INNOVATION programme.

The main themes of the conference sessions will be as follows:

- Innovation policies and strategies;
- Commercialization of innovations and know-how;
- Outsourcing know-how from universities and polytechnics;
- Technical visits and case studies.
