The tenth annual conference and exhibition of the European Electronic Messaging Association (EEMA), Electronic Commerce Europe '97, will take place in Maastricht, The Netherlands, from 15 to 18 June 1997.

Electronic Commerce Europe will examine key issues in the area of electronic commerce and messaging, offering advice and guidance on corporate strategy and an opportunity to share experiences and examples of best practice. In particular, it will address the issues of security, accountability and service levels on the Internet and the emerging phenomenon of the Intranet.

Essentially an IT user-driven event, the conference will be targeting senior managers and decision makers throughout Europe. Specific topics to be covered will include:

- Global security;
- Corporate directories - X.500/LDAP;
- Messaging products and services;
- Electronic commerce - EDI and the Internet;
- The global messaging enterprise;
- European initiatives;
- Mobile messaging technology;
- Messaging technology and management strategy;
- Intranet and Extranet;
- World Wide Web and Infobots.
