A European conference on globalization is to be held in Vienna, Austria, on 27-29 November 1997. The conference is being organized by "YES FOR EUROPE", the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs, and its Austrian member organization 1031. It is supported by the European Commission.

The aim of the conference is to explore the far-reaching economic, political and societal changes brought about by globalization and to look at possible strategies for young entrepreneurs facing the opportunities and threats presented by the "global village". Participants from all over the world are expected, thus ensuring that the effects of globalization will be evaluated from a truly global perspective.

A number of workshops will be held dealing with such subjects as:

- Internationalization strategies for SMEs;
- Competitive advantages through new technologies and innovation;
- Opportunities through strategic partnerships;
