MARI'97 - European geodata trade fair

MARI'97, the European trade fair for the geographic information sector, will take place in Paris, France, from 1 to 3 April 1997.
The programme will cover all aspects of geodata, with sessions addressing topics such as:
- Tools and methods;
- Networks management;
- Advertising optimization and direct marketing;
- Risks management;
- Overview and perspectives of ten years of GIS in Europe
- New applications in localization and navigation;
- New media.
A keynote speech will outline the work of the European Commission in the sector and the contribution of Community research to developments in geographic information. There will also be a workshop on public/private partnerships in the geographic information sector, which will include a round table chaired by Mr. Martin Littlejohn of DG XIII of the European Commission.
