Frankfurt Book Fair

The 49th Frankfurt Book Fair, the world's largest communications fair, will take place from 15 to 20 October 1997 in Frankfurt, Germany. The fair is expected to attract over 9,000 exhibitors from around the world displaying and demonstrating the latest books, periodicals, software and multimedia.

In addition to being the most important trading event in the international rights and licences business within the publishing industry, the Frankfurt Book Fair has, since 1993, also become known as the largest and most important meeting for the producers and sellers of multimedia. The Fair offers a prime forum in which to find partners for content, know-how and distribution.

The Electronic Media Centre will present a wide range of products, including software applications, author systems, publishing-on-demand, electronic books, online publishing, and information services and databases.
