A European technology meeting in the food processing sector will take place in Amiens, France, on 19 and 20 June 1997. The event is organized by ANVAR, the French innovation agency and CVG, the centre for the optimization of glucides and natural products, with support from the European Commission's INTERPRISE programme.

The meeting aims to bring together representatives of British, Belgian, Dutch and French companies in the industrial food processing sector. Participants will be able to discuss opportunities for partnership and cooperation, and exchanges of know-how. In addition, a series of round-table discussions will be held covering the following topics:

- Texturation and shaping;
- Downstream processing;
- Packaging.

A catalogue of participants will be circulated in advance, detailing the areas where cooperation is sought and technological opportunities offered. Individual meetings can be pre-arranged from this catalogue.
