Applied Solar Energy

An International Workshop on Applied Solar Energy will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 9 to 14 June 1997. The workshop is being organized by the Academy of Science of Uzbekistan in cooperation with, and with support from, the UN-ECE, the European Commission (DG XVII - Energy), UNESCO, UNIDO and the IEA (SolarPACES Programme).

The aim of the workshop is to promote international technical and financial cooperation in solar energy use. Particular attention will be paid to the situation and market prospects in the countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, including Central Asia.
