European Biomass Conference, October 1992: Announcement and call for papers

The Commission of the European Communities is sponsoring the 7th European conference on "Biomass for energy and environment, agriculture and industry", to be held in Florence, Italy, on 5-9 October 1992. On the basis of the current state of R&D and prevailing practical experience, the conference aims to highlight adequate political and economic incentives for the introduction of biomass-use. Interested parties are invited to submit papers (before 31 March 1992) on specific topics included in the following areas:
- Sustainable biomass resources (production and waste recovery);
- Conversion of biomass crops and wastes/production for energy needs/technologies and markets (combustion, gasification, pyrolysis and biological conversion);
- Conversion of biomass production for non energy needs/technologies and markets;
- Biomass and environment;
- Biomass in the EC;
- Biomass in developing countries;
- Macroeconomic and microeconomic aspects.
