An international conference on safety and reliability will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 17 to 20 June 1997. The event is being organized by the European Safety and Reliability Association, with support from the European Community's BRITE/EURAM programme.
The conference will cover aspects of safety and reliability in a variety of areas. In particular, it will address topics such as transport safety, management and safety cultures, maintenance, modelling, offshore and maritime safety, construction safety and safety in energy systems.
