Relaxations in complex systems

A discussion meeting on "Relaxations in complex systems" will be held in Vigo, Spain, from 30 June to 11 July 1997. The meeting is organized by the Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnologia de Polimeros (CSIC), with support from the European Community's BRITE/EURAM specific RTD programme.
The objective of the meeting is to discuss current issues and recent research in relaxation phenomena in a variety of disciplines. The meeting will also aim to identify new subjects and corresponding experiments in relaxation phenomena which will guide the search for the physical foundations, by bringing together those working on theory and those working on practical experiments.
In addition to the main meeting, a number of seminars will be held, from 7 to 11 July, addressing topics relating to the structure and dynamics of polymers and complex fluids on surfaces, at interfaces and in confined spaces. These seminars will discuss the significant amounts of experimental data, molecular dynamics simulations and theory accumulated in recent years.
