Materials Matter - New materials and industrial technology

A conference entitled "Materials Matter" will be held at Brands Hatch, United Kingdom, on 28 April 1997. The conference is organized by the Kent Technology Transfer Centre, a partner in the Southern England Innovation Relay Centre.

The aim of the event is to assist companies in identifying funding opportunities for commercial developments involving new materials and industrial technologies. Three sessions during the conference will aim to:

- Provide information and raise awareness of the available expertise;
- Help companies find partners in the UK and across Europe, and solve technical problems with the latest technology;
- Assist companies in identifying funding opportunities in the European Community's research programmes.

In addition to presentations of the latest developments in materials technology, participants will learn about opportunities available in the Community's BRITE/EURAM programme and in the CRAFT cooperative research scheme for SMEs.
