Greece
The Hellenic Innovation Relay Centre and the Greek member of the OPET network (CRES) are organizing a technology transfer day in the field of biomass energy, to be held in Athens, Greece, on 16 May 1997.

The aim of the event is to bring together all those interested in the application of biomass energy production, especially in the industrial sector. Emphasis will be placed on those who wish to implement existing technologies in the production procedure in their companies.

Technologies exhibited will include those developed for converting various types of agricultural waste, particularly that produced in Mediterranean agriculture. Possible applications for these technologies will allow for increased productivity and more efficient processes, as well as improve environmental protection. Existing technology can be used in all sectors (domestic, industrial and services) to provide hot water, steam and electricity.
