"Trading international telecoms traffic", an international conference on generating new revenues in the international telecoms market, will be held in London, United Kingdom, on 25 and 26 June 1997.

The conference will address topics such as:

- The development of international services in a liberalized market;
- Global trends in telecommunications traffic;
- Investment in infrastructure and related costs of network building;
- New opportunities to increase the profitability of international services;
- Creating spot markets and trading mechanisms for international telecommunications traffic.

Keynote speeches will be given by Mr. Jean-Eric de Cockborne, head of telecommunications in DG XIII of the European Commission, and Mr. Don Gips, Chief of the International Bureau of the US Federal Communications Commission.
