A symposium on sensory analysis as a link between marketing practices and the R&D department will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 2 and 3 October 1997. The European Sensory Network symposium is organized with the support of the Brussels Innovation Relay Centre.

The symposium will look at the role new methods of sensory evaluation play in market research and product development, to ensure that consumer needs and expectations are translated rigorously into product properties. A series of presentations will use case studies from different European countries and industrial sectors.
