Intelligent manufacturing systems and information technologies Information Day - Germany

An Information Day on funding opportunities in intelligent manufacturing systems and information technologies under the ESPRIT, BRITE/EURAM, SMT and INNOVATION programmes will be held in Neu-Ulm, Germany, on 30 June 1997. The event is organized by the Innovation Relay Centre in Southern Germany, Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum.

The aim of the Day is to provide potential participants in EC RTD programmes in the field of intelligent manufacturing systems with information on the opportunities available, finding partners and preparing proposals. Separate sessions will address the opportunities within the following programmes:

- ESPRIT - Information Technologies;
- BRITE/EURAM - Industrial and Materials Technologies, and SMT - Standards, Measurements and Testing;
- INNOVATION.

Other sessions will explore the opportunities available for SMEs, and give an oversight of the Fourth Framework Programme. Demonstrations of CORDIS, the Community's R&D Information Service, and TED, the Commission's electronic tenders service will be given. Finally, previous participants in EC research programmes will give an outline of their experiences.
