Public Electronic Trade and Commerce '97

A trade fair and symposium on "Public Electronic Trade and Commerce" will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, on 1-2 October 1997. The trade fair is being organized with the support of the Swedish Local Authorities and will feature the yearly SIMAP Awareness Conference.

The trade fair will look at the latest developments within the national project for public electronic trade in the Swedish public sector. A range of issues relating to electronic trade, procurement and commerce with the public sector.

The SIMAP conference will take place on 2 October 1997. This will provide an update on the activities of the SIMAP (Système d'Informations pour les Marchés Publics) project. The project, part of the Community's Interchange of Data between Administrations programme (IDA), aims to improve the flow of information about public procurement opportunities by providing a computerized system for the electronic collection, processing and dissemination of public procurement notices.
