ASEAN-EU Partenariat'97 will take place in Singapore, on 10 and 11 November 1997. The event is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the ASEAN Secretariat.
The ASEAN-EU Partenariat will bring together companies, seeking and offering cooperation or partnership opportunities, from the two regions: Europe and South-East Asia. A number of SMEs will be selected from the seven ASEAN member states to participate in the event. A catalogue of these companies will be distributed throughout the EU before the event, allowing individual meetings to be prearranged. Seven sectors will be covered by the Partenariat:
- Electrical and electronics;
- Machinery manufacturing;
- Automotive parts and manufacturing;
- Chemicals;
- Food processing;
- Information technology and services;
- Textiles and clothing.
