A Technology Transfer Day in the field of fish farming will be held in Trondheim, Norway, on 14 and 15 August 1997. The Day, which is organized by the Norwegian Innovation Relay Centre, will take place as part of AquaNor'97, a major international fish farming exhibition.

The event will focus on the latest developments in fish farming technologies, spotlighting the results of recent and ongoing research in Norway. Four parallel workshops will be held, covering the following subjects:

- Fish handling, slaughtering and quality;
- Distribution - the cold chain from the fish farm to the customer;
- By-products and environmental issues;
- Fish farming equipment.

In addition to the discussion sessions, participants will also be taken on a guided tour of a local fish farming research facility. There will also be ample opportunity for participants to engage in bilateral discussions with a view to forming partnerships or other forms of cooperation/collaboration.
