The second International Forum for the Development of SMEs will be held in Mulhouse, France, on 23 October 1997. The event is organized by ICNA, the International Capital Networking Association, SODIV, a venture capital organization, and LINKS, a consultancy firm, and is supported by the European Commission (DG XXIII).

The Forum will focus on a subject of major interest to SMEs - venture capital. Sessions will explain to participants how venture capital works and how venture capital firms operate, outline the drawbacks of using venture capital, and explain how to set up projects and how and why to call on venture capital.

The afternoon session will allow participants to discuss their ideas for projects with other participants, with a view to forming partnerships. They will also have the opportunity to discuss projects with representatives of venture capital organizations, and seek advice from financial or administrative support services.
