The "First European Symposium on Fighting Marine Pollution" will take place in Dunkerque, France, on 9-11 September 1997.
The meeting, which is being organized by the Dunkerque Tourist Office, is aimed at managers and professionals concerned with marine pollution. It will include an exhibition of equipment and techniques used in the fight against marine pollution (with demonstrations in Dunkerque harbour), and a series of conferences on the theme.
