Non-nuclear Energy Training grant workshops (JOULE)

The European Commission, DG XII, is organizing a series of workshops relating to training grants under the JOULE (R&D) component of the Non-nuclear Energy specific research and demonstration programme.
The workshops are aimed at grant-holders, and their host institutions, of energy-related Marie Curie Research Training Grants. Additional places may be available for grant-holders also performing energy research in other programmes. The grant-holders will have the opportunity to present the interim results of their research projects and take part in demonstrations and site visits.
The first workshops will be as follows:
- 4-8 September 1997, in Espoo, Finland (biomass and combustion);
- March/April 1998, in Cork, Ireland (wave and wind power);
- 16-19 July 1998, in London, United Kingdom (rational use of energy in buildings).
