Densified timber building in Europe

The 16th Three-country Wood Conference, dedicated to the theme of "Densified timber building in Europe", will take place in Graz, Austria, from 2 to 5 November 1997. The conference is organized by the Austrian Society of Wood Research, the German Society of Wood Research, the Lignum and Swiss Working Group for Wood Research and JOANNEUM RESEARCH.

This year's conference, combined with the JOANNEUM RESEARCH "Fachtage" and integrated into the EUREKA Wood Initiative, offers an important forum for experts in wood research and application. Although the conference will be centred around the specific tradition of building in timber in central Europe, selected guest speakers will share their international and European experience with participants.

The conference is aimed at building planners (architects, master builders and engineers), civil engineers, industry (wood builders, manufacturers of semi-finished products), trade, carpenters, as well as research institutions.
