The First European Conference on the Economics of Cancer will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 19-21 November 1997.

The conference, organized by the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), will provide up-to-date information on ongoing studies and current methodological issues in the field of health economics in relation to cancer.

The aim is to promote scientific exchanges and informal discussions between all those with an interest in the subject. The meeting will include keynote lectures by leading experts in the field, oral and poster presentations and tutorials on selected issues.

The EORTC Health Economics Unit is supported by the European commission through the Biomedicine and Health (BIOMED) research programme.
