SYBEN'98 - International Symposium on Broadband European Networks

An International Symposium on Broadband European Networks (SYBEN'98) will be held in Zurich Switzerland, on 18-22 May 1998.

The symposium, which is part of the EUROPTO series of conferences, is sponsored by the European Commission (DG XII), the European Optical Society (EOS) and the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE).

The event will include four separate conferences:

- Wired and wireless broadband access networks;
- Broadband long distance networking;
- Local area, campus and corporate broadband networks;
- Interactive multimedia services and equipment.

Abstracts are currently being invited for all four conferences. The deadline for the submission of extended abstracts is 20 October 1997. Full manuscripts must be submitted by 2 March 1998.

The SYBEN'98 symposium will take place at the same time, and in the same place, as the International Symposium on Electronic Image Capture and Publishing (ECIP'98).
