The ninth annual conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) will take place in Barcelona, Spain, on 20-22 November 1997. The theme of this year's conference will be "Boundaries and bridges in international education". Special sessions will, in addition, be held on "The Mediterranean Link" and "Transatlantic Connections".
The conference, which is supported by the European Commission (DG XXII and DG IB), offers an ideal occasion for universities and educators to explore new forms of cooperation within Europe and beyond. The annual EAIE conferences are organized for professionals in the internationalization of higher education. The sessions and workshops offered are, however, designed for specialists and newcomers alike.
