The International Conference on Advances in Vehicle Control and Safety (AVCS'98) will take place in Amiens, France, on 1-3 July 1998. The conference is being hosted by the University of Picardie Jules Verne and is sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society and the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA). It is also supported by the European Community through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Papers describing original work in all aspects of engineering techniques applied to vehicles are currently being invited for submission. Suggested topic areas include:
