INTERPRISE Conference - Biotechnical Cooperation

A conference on biotechnical cooperation will take place in Heidelberg, Germany, from 12 to 14 November 1997. The event is supported by the Community's INTERPRISE programme, and aims to bring together biotechnology firms from around Europe to develop cooperative opportunities.
The first part of the conference will feature briefings on the latest developments in diagnosis and analysis, pharmaceuticals, the textile industry and the agro-food industry. There will also be a presentation on European Community grants, innovation financing and venture capital. Following the introductory session, participants will have the opportunity to meet and discuss cooperation opportunities with other participants. There will also be the opportunity to visit local biotechnology institutions and companies in the Heidelberg area.
In order to ensure the most successful outcome from the conference, the organizers will use the most sophisticated matching tools available. Meetings will be set up in advance on the basis of the profiles submitted for the event catalogue. In addition, during the event these tools will also be available to facilitate on-site meetings.
