SITE'98, the ninth international conference of the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE), will take place in Washington DC, USA, from 10 to 14 March 1998.

SITE is an international association of individual teacher educators and affiliated organizations of teacher educators in all disciplines, who are interested in the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the use of information technology in teacher education. The SITE'98 conference will offer the opportunity to explore current research and development activities in this important field, and to become acquainted with the latest applications.

The conference will cover the following main topic areas:

- Diversity and international perspectives;
- Multimedia/Hypermedia;
- Telecommunications;
- Mathematics and science education;
- Reading, language and the arts;
- Early childhood/Elementary education;
- Social studies;
- Special education;
- Educational leadership.

SITE is a society of the international Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE).
