The European Multimedia Forum is organizing a conference entitled "Towards new horizons", to be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 12 December 1997.
The conference will address convergence, as well as business opportunities outside the EU. The programme will include a mix of presentations and round table discussions, with a number of presentations from European Commission officials. The main topics to be covered are:
- The political and economic impact of convergence;
- The regulatory environment;
- How European companies can become involved in potential markets outside the EU;
- Future priorities for action.
