2nd European Conference on Weigh-in-Motion of Road Vehicles

The 2nd European Conference on Weigh-in-Motion of Road Vehicles will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 14-16 September 1998. The conference is organized by the European Commission within the framework of COST Action 323 (Weigh-in-Motion of Road Vehicles).

Following the success of the first Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) conference in Zurich, in 1995, this second conference has been organized with the following objectives in mind:

- To review developments in WIM over the past three years;
- To report on and disseminate the final conclusions of the COST 323 Action;
- To report on WIM trials such as those taking place in France and Sweden;
- To report on recent research projects in the WIM field, particularly the WAVE project supported by the Commission's TRANSPORT programme;
- To provide a forum for discussion of issues relating to a European WIM pre-standard;
- To facilitate meetings between manufacturers and users.

An exhibition of the latest products and technologies in this field will be organized in parallel to the conference.
