APMS'98, an international conference on "Air pollution modelling and simulation" will be held in Champs-sur-Marne, France, from 26 to 29 October 1998. The conference is organized by the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees (ENPC) and the French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA).

The aim of the event is to review current understanding of air pollution modelling and simulation and to provide a forum for the exchange of views between representatives from various scientific communities (meteorology, atmospheric chemistry, modelling of emissions, input data, numerical analysis and applied mathematics).

The conference topics will include:

- Modelling of atmospheric chemical kinetics;
- Multiphase and microphysical modelling;
- Meteorology for the regional (meso) scale;
- Meteorology for the urban scale;
- Emission models, input data (EO data, networks, etc.);
- Numerical simulation of transport and operator splitting;
- Numerical simulation of atmospheric chemical kinetics;
- High performance parallel computations;
- Data assimilation and sensitivity analysis.

Abstracts are invited for submission by 16 February 1998.
