The tenth annual conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, from 22 to 24 November 1998. The theme for this year's conference will be "International education: Interactions with the wider community".
The theme is intended to look at issues which have, up to now, rarely been addressed in international education. Sessions will look at international education in its wider social context, at ways in which it influences, and is influenced by, broader currents in the surrounding community and in society at large. For example it will look at ways in which international education can contribute to other activities and explore the types of innovative partnerships which can be formed.
Alongside these themed sessions, the different special interest groups of the Association will also hold meetings addressing their fields of interest. For example, groups will be covering management, European educational programmes, language issues, and admissions and qualifications evaluation.
