Distributed design, production and marketing - Brokerage Event

A brokerage event on "Distributed design, production and marketing - the application of new communication technologies" will take place in Stuttgart, Germany, on 27 April 1998. The event is organized by the Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum, the Stuttgart Innovation Relay Centre, with support from the ESPRIT programme and its PROSOMA dissemination initiative.

The aim of the event is to bring together companies which may benefit from participating in "virtual enterprises", where experts in different fields collaborate with each other to bring their different abilities together to create the optimum product. These virtual industries can benefit from new communications technologies, to ensure that the partners can work effectively together even when sited in different countries.

During the event, participants will see presentations on the current ESPRIT call and plans for Information Society research under the Fifth RTD Framework Programme. Project representatives will present their results and on-going research, while meetings between projects and potential partners will be set up.
