Baltic States - Food and IT Brokerage Event

A EUREKA Brokerage Event in the fields of food and information technologies will be held in Jurmala, Latvia, on 25 and 26 May 1998. The event is aimed at opening up opportunities for R&D cooperation with the Baltic countries.

The main focus of the event will be on market-oriented R&D projects. Participants will be offered a balanced programme of information sessions addressing EUREKA and other funding mechanisms for collaborative projects, thematic workshops, and individual meetings. Workshops will be held in the following topics:

- Food processing;
- Food packaging and product innovation;
- Quality assurance;
- Multimedia/WWW products and services;
- Telecommunication services and equipment;
- Software systems for the service sector;
- Software systems for the manufacturing sector.
