An international workshop on "Environmental technology solutions in China" will take place in Shanghai, China, from 9 to 13 March 1998. The workshop is organized by the German company ITU GmbH (Ingenieurgemeinschaft Technischer Umweltschutz), with support from the European Commission, the Technical University of Darmstadt (DE), Tongji University (China) and the National Research Centre for Urban Pollution Control (NERCUP).
The workshop is intended to give European companies and European/Chinese joint ventures active in the environmental sector an opportunity to meet with high-ranking representatives from Chinese administration and industry. Discussion will focus on current environmental projects and potential projects requiring environmental technological applications, in particular in the area of industrial and municipal waste management and waste water treatment.
