The "Online Scotland" exhibition and conference will take place in Glasgow, United Kingdom, on 25 and 26 March 1998.

The event will bring together those offering IT, Internet and network solutions with the opportunity to present their products and services to a range of public and private sector organizations. The conference will aim to inform the business community of the potential for improving profitability through investment in information technologies. The main topics to be covered are as follows:

- Electronic commerce on the Internet;
- Commercial benefits of building Intranets and Extranets;
- Market trends and opportunities in information and communications technologies in Scotland;
- What every ICT buyer, manager and planner needs to know.

Among the exhibitors will be the MIDAS-NET node for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Part of a European network supported by the EU's INFO2000 programme, it aims to promote the use of multimedia technologies and services.
