Innovation and new enterprises in the Baltic region

A conference and exhibition on innovation and new enterprises in the Baltic region will be held in Riga, Latvia, from 3 to 6 September 1998. The event is organized by the Latvian FEMIRC (Fellow Member to the Innovation Relay Centres network). The event will include an exhibition to be held in parallel with round table and working groups.
The main topics to be addressed include:
- Entrepreneurial collaboration in the Baltic region;
- Competition or collaboration: How to promote regional economic development;
- Science parks and innovation centres: Are there more effective instruments to support enterprises and innovation;
- Money for start-up and entrepreneurs: Training and education programmes.
