In the framework of cooperation with the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries, the European Commission, DG VIII, has published a call for expressions of interest to participate in a restricted invitation to tender for support services for the implementation of a research and development strategy in these countries.

The following activities will be required:

- Preparation and execution of a three-day seminar in Brussels, Belgium, and three four-day seminars in anglophone and francophone African ACP countries and in a Caribbean country;
- Preparation of informal expert group meetings, including developing and maintaining a database on RTD activities;
- Establishment of Intranet and Internet Web pages on RTD and the development of an e-mail forum;
- Advise on the research components of specific projects and programmes.
