SYNERGY 1999 calls for expressions of interest
The European Commission (EC), Directorate-General XVII, has issued a call for expressions of interest in tendering for eight projects in 1999. These will receive financing of up to 100% from the EC Synergy Programme on the basis of calls for tender, which will be launched over the coming months. The eight projects are as follows: - Development of energy service companies in the Mediterranean partners (MED18); - EU-Iran energy policy dialogue (GLF3); - Study on the financing for rural electrification in Africa (AF1); - Training courses in China and/or Europe on energy management and energy efficiency (AS17); - Promotion of energy efficiency in the industrial building and transport sectors of two large Chinese cities (Shanghai and Tianjin) (AS18); - District heating in the Baltic region (CEEC51); - Integrated Baltic energy study (CEEC52); - Energy security and efficiency in Russia (NIS12).
