More than 200 project ideas, expressions of interest and technology offers, in the field of the European Commission's Key Action on Sustainable management and quality of water, have been compiled in a new catalogue. It includes information from the following areas: - Integrated approaches for the management of water resources and wetlands; - Development of treatment and purification technologies; - Technologies for the monitoring and prevention of pollution, protection and management of groundwater and surface water resources; - Surveillance, early warning and communication systems; - Technologies for the regulation of stocks and technologies for arid and semi-arid regions. The Innovation Relay Centre at ZENIT gathered this information at the launch conference in Essen, Germany, for the European Commission's Fifth RTD Framework Programme. In cooperation with the relevant national focal point at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, ZENIT organised a partner mediation event for research projects in the area of water, which included expert participants from DG XII.
