EMAS support services
The European Commission's DG XI has announced a call for tenders for support services for the Community eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS). The call is divided into two lots: - Operation of an EMAS help desk service. The Commission wants to contract out this work to an external organisation. The help desk should provide timely and accurate information about EMAS to interested parties. This includes answering questions from the public and distributing information to interested parties at the Commission's request; - Operation of an EMAS database service. The Commission is looking for a contractor able to operate and maintain a database service. This will be used to coordinate the collection of data concerning EMAS registered sites and accredited environmental verifiers. The contractor will also be required to provide the Commission with regularly updated reports on the database.
