A new map-based search facility has been unveiled on CORDIS which provides quicker responses to users' searches for partners, projects and results. By simply clicking on a map of Europe, users can search in any of these three categories in areas that can be refined down to regional localities. The map covers not just the European Union Member States, but also those that are contributing to and participating in the Fifth Framework programme, EFTA countries and pre-accession candidate countries. A search for partners for example, will bring up a list of the potential partners in the area highlighted with clickable contact details. A similar search for projects will provide information on all programmes currently available and ongoing in a region, as well as details of which specific programme they belong to.
