The European Commission, DG XIII, has published the 1995 annual technical report on the RACE programme, entitled "RACE 1995: Research and technology developments in advanced communications technologies in Europe". The report provides a synopsis of the latest results of the projects carried out under the RACE II programme for advanced communications technologies (1990-1994). In particular, the report covers the following topics: - The RACE programme; - Impact of RACE results; - Programme operation and management; - Accompanying measures, tools and related actions; - Descriptions of RACE research and development work. The report also contains a detailed list of RACE II projects and summaries, as well as a list of accompanying support measures and actions in the field of digital image communications projects. The RACE programme has now been superseded by the specific programme for advanced communications technologies and services (ACTS) under the Fourth Framework Programme (1994-1998).
