The GEP (Groupement Français des Entreprises Parapétrolières et Paragazières) has published the second edition of the "Western Siberia Oil and Gas Companies Directory". The Directory has been prepared by the EC Energy Centre in Tyumen, within the framework of the Community's JOULE/THERMIE programme in the field of non-nuclear energy. The Western Siberian sedimentary basin is one of the largest oil and gas producers in the world and is, and will remain, a major energy supplier for the European Union. The Directory contains a detailed description of the oil and gas industry in this region, including: the names of 400 decision makers in this area, statistics on the production of oil and gas since 1990; and information on the Siberian players in the equipment and services supplies sector. The Directory is targeted at European Union suppliers of equipment and services wishing to promote their technologies in this region, which remains one of the most important oil and gas producing regions in the world.
