MEDIA II - Distribution and dissemination of European audiovisual productions and films
The European Commission, DG X, has published a call for proposals relating to the implementation of the MEDIA II programme of encouragement of the development and distribution of European audiovisual productions. The objectives of the programme include: - The reinforcement of the European distribution sector in the field of film and video productions; - Encouraging the transnational distribution of European films, and the networking of agents; - Promoting the circulation of European television programmes; - Support for the multilingualism of audiovisual and film productions. This call is addressed to European companies whose activities contribute to the aforementioned objectives, in particular European companies involved in the distribution of film and audiovisual material, video producers, television broadcasting companies and independent producers. Organizations wishing to respond to this call for proposals must submit a written request for the document "Guidelines for submitting a proposal with a view to obtaining financial support for the distribution and dissemination of European audiovisual and film productions", detailing the type of support for which they wish to receive guidelines: - Procedure 3.1: Support for the transnational distribution of European films and the networking of distributors; - Procedure 3.2: Support for video and multimedia distribution and dissemination of European films and audiovisual programmes; - Procedure 3.3: Support for television diffusion of European audiovisual productions; - Procedure 3.4: Support for the marketing of commercial rights for European audiovisual productions.
